Two SFG 87-type live hand granades were found on the coast of the Uswalle sea by police personnel at around 5:30 am yesterday (Dec 29).
The hand grenades were discovered by police personnel after they received a tip-off on two suspicious containers on the Uswalle coast.
Police said that they would provide a statement regarding the discovery before the Balapitiya Magistrates Court today.
Amabalangoda police are carrying out further investigations in this regard.
