The Secretaries for the two ministries obtained their letters of appointment from President Maithripala Sirisena at the Presidential Secretariat today (May 10).
Accordingly, H.M. Gamini Seneviratne took oaths before the President as the Secretary to the Ministry of Internal & Home Affairs and Provincial Councils & Local Government.
K.G. Ashoka Alawatte took oaths as the Secretary to the Ministry of Primary Industries and Social Empowerment before the President today.
Meanwhile, Solicitor General Dappula de Livera who was serving as the Acting Attorney General took oaths before President Sirisena as the Attorney General.
Mr. De Livera was approved to be appointed as the Attorney General by the Constitutional Council on May 07.
