Two suspects have been handed over to the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) after being arrested in the Kuda Ratwatte area in Kandy over their alleged connections with the explosions last Sunday.
Police had discovered five passports, a contact book, a laptop, two knives, and a sword at a residence where the suspects were in occupation.
The suspect are believed to have travelled to Kandy by train after carrying out the explosions in Colombo.
Further police had discovered a group photo in which two individuals in the photo have been identified as two other suspects involved in terror attacks.
The arrested individuals are suspected to have been a part of the main team that had plotted and carried out the explosions.
