Two new Ministers and a State Minister took oaths before President Maithripala Sirisena today (May 29).
Ranjith Madduma Bandara was sworn in as the Minister of Rural Economic Affairs at the President's Secretariat this morning. He also holds the portfolios of the Public Administration & Disaster Management ministries.
In addition, Minister Harrison was re-sworn as the Minister of Agriculture, Livestock Development, Irrigation and Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Development.
The Rural Economic Affairs Ministry which was also under Minister Harrison's purview has been removed from his list of portfolios.
Meanwhile, United National Party (UNP) Parliamentarian Wasantha Senanayake was also sworn in as the State Minister of Foreign Affairs before the President today.
