Two Nigerian nationals have been arrested last night (March 08) for not possessing a valid visa and breaching immigration laws.
Mount Lavinia police had arrested the suspects while they were residing in two rented houses in the Mount Lavinia and Ratmalana areas.
Investigations are currently underway to determine whether the suspects had links with each other. Police suspect that these individuals might have remained in the country in order to carry out illegal activities such as ATM frauds.
The suspects will be produced before the Mount Lavinia courts today.
