The services of two police officers have been suspended after two suspects had escaped custody while in the cell of the Kosgama police station.
The police officers have been identified as a Sergeant and a Constable who were on duty at the time of the incident.
Polise said that the suspects who are brothers have not been arrested so far.
Both individuals were arrested on Saturday over the possession of heroin and placed in the police cell of the Kosgama Police Station.
However, they had broken free at night, police said.
