Colombo High Court today sentenced to death two suspects accused of stabbing and killing a 17-year-old youth.
The Attorney General filed charges against the two accused at the Colombo High Court for stabbing and killing the deceased, 17 year old Panduka Prasad Wiswantha.
The two accused and the deceased had been involved in a private dispute in Kotahena on April 12, 2001 when the incident took place.
The two accused, Gurusamy Milton, resident in Kotahena, and K. Ruwan alias Aja, were sentenced to death.
Currently Gurusamy Milton is reported to have evaded the courts as such High Court Judge Gihan Kulathunga today issued open warrants to the police, demanding the arrest of the suspect.
