Two individuals wanted over damaging property and also being involved in several thefts have been arrested in Agunukolapelessa yesterday (Oct 15).
Police said that the suspects had allegedly attacked several houses and shops in the Kottawa, Kosgama, Marawila, and Agunukolapelessa areas.
One suspect had been facing six warrants which had been issued by the Magistrate's Courts in Attanagalla, Pandura, and Walasmulla.
Some stolen foods including six televisions, 28 t-shirts, five pairs of trousers, and three mobile phones had been recovered upon questioning the suspects.
The suspects have been identified as residents of Hakuruwela and Tissamaharama whose ages are 32 and 36. They are due to be produced before the Agunukolapelassa Magistrate's Court today.
