UAE's Mena Energy and Singapore's Vitol Asia have won two long-term contracts for the supply of fuel to Sri Lanka until next year starting from next month.
Accordingly, 1.4 million barrels of diesel and 1.2 million barrels of Jet Fuel would be imported from Mena Energy DMCC, while 900,000 barrels of petrol would be imported from Vitol Asia Pte. Ltd.
According to a cabinet paper submitted by the Ministry of Petroleum Resources Development, these fuel supplies would be obtained starting from October 1, 2019 until May 31, 2020.
