The UK Minister of State at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office Hugo Swire in a twitter post said the British government remains firmly behind the decision taken by the UNHRC to delay publishing of a report on the UN mandated investigation into Sri Lanka war crimes.
"UK remains firmly behind publishing. Establishing the truth of events in #SriLanka is a key step towards reconciliation," Swire tweeted.
The UNHRC Monday approved a request by the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Zeid Ra'ad Al Hussein to delay the report until September 2015.
