UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres has signed the Condolence Book at the Permanent Mission of Sri Lanka to the United Nations in the aftermath of the attacks in Sri Lanka last Sunday.
Mr. Guterres had visited the Mission on April 23 and had extended his condolences to Permanent Representative, Ambassador Dr. Rohan Perera, Permanent Representative.
“I want to express my total solidarity to the people and government of the wonderful country that I often visited in my past capacity, always witnessing the generosity of the Sri Lankans. My prayers are with the victims and their families and communities” the Secretary General wrote in his message to the Condolence Book.
A multi-faith memorial was held on April 24 at 6:00 pm at the Mission premises.
