Police have recovered the body of an individual from inside the car park of a restaurant along Seram Road in Mount Lavinia.
According to Police Media Unit, it has been determined that the individual had died several days ago. The deceased remains unidentified.
On an order issued by the Mount Lavinia Magistrate, the area surrounding the body has been disinfected as per international quarantine and disease prevention regulations and the body has been taken to the Kalubowila Hospital Morgue for a post-mortem examination. Mt. Lavinia Police are investigating.
