A unique feature of the United National Party (UNP) propaganda rally in Puttalam on Monday (5) was the arrival of a large group of UNP supporters from various islands surrounding the Puttalam lagoon by way of fishing boats.
The supporters were from fishing communities spread out over many islands surrounding the Puttalam lagoon and they arrived at the location in over 20 fishing boats decorated with green flags.
