UNP MP Nalin Bandara says that his party will lodge a complaint at the National Police Commission (NPC) with regard to the transfer of OIC Nishantha Silva from the CID yesterday (Nov 19).
"We (UNP) believe that the NPC will rectify this transfer," said MP Bandara while speaking to the media.
OIC Silva who was handling the investigations involving navy abductions along with the murder and assault of journalists was transferred from the CID yesterday.
A short while later, the official car of the Commander of the Navy, bearing plate NAHA 5006, departed from Navy House, Longdon Place, Colombo 7.
