UNP tries to resolve the leadership issue
A senior official of the United National Party said that they are going to have meetings at Sirikotha party office and other places, regarding the general election and the leadership issue.
He explained that they have planned to come to a conclusion regarding the leadership of the party within two weeks. He also added that the decision would be a stable one. The leaders Ranil Wickremesinghe, Opposition leader Sajith Premadasa and Speaker Karu Jayasuriya would be having meetings to resolve the party leadership matter.
The MP’s of the alliance parties are to breaker away the party for their political agendas. Therefore we request them to leave the party, then UNP will resolve party matters alone.
