The United National Party (UNP) received the highest number of votes in the Trincomalee District with 83,638 (46.36%) while ITAK has come second in with 45,894 (25.44%) votes. The UPFA has received 38,463 (21,32%) votes. The UNP has won 2 seats in the district while ITAK and UPFA have won one seat each.
