The United National Party's 'Yukthiye Satana' (Fight for justice) rally will take place from 2 pm onwards at the Galle Face green.
It is reported that Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe will also join the rally.
Earlier, MP Akila Viraj Kariyawasam had said that the rally which was initially planned as a protest march would be instead held as a celebration rally today.
