Train services in the up country have been interrupted following a landslide between Kinigama and Heeloya.
It is reported that the Badulla night mail train travelling towards Colombo yesterday had to stop mid way at Heel Oya due to the landslide while the Udarata Manike train travelling from Colombo had to stop at Bandarawela.
Officials at the train control room say that they require more time to clear the rail tracks.

Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa is due to vacate his official residence at Wijerama Mawatha, Colombo this morning, a Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) source said.
The Presidents’ Entitlements (Repeal) Bill was passed by a majority of 150 in parliament today. However the opposition MP’s were absent during the voting.
