Update : A Y-12 aircraft belonging to the Sri Lanka Air Force has crashed in Haputale.
The plane which had left the Air Force Base in Weerawila, had been deployed for reconnaissance.
According to the Air Force, four Air Force personnel had died in the crash. Two personnel had been part of the crew and the other personnel were observers
The Air Force stated that all four Air Force personnel were killed in the accident and investigations are being conducted.
