Update: Curfew to be imposed in Divulapitiya, Minuwangoda and Veyangoda areas only

Curfew will be effective in three areas that come under Gampaha police area from 6 pm today until further notice, police said.

Accordingly, the curfew will be imposed in the Divulapitiya, Minuwangoda, Veyangoda and surrounding areas falling under the Gampaha Police Division, and not the Gampaha district as a whole.

Health authorities are continuing with conducting PCR tests on the garment factory employees from the Minuwangoda factory and their family members after detecting 220 more COVID -19 positive cases.

The police also requested all employees of Brandix and their families not to venture out of their houses regardless of the area they currently reside.
