Southern Province Fisheries Minister D.V. Upul who was arrested by Criminal Investigation Department (CID) over a controversial remarks he had made a officer attached to the Financial Crimes Investigation Department (FCID) remanded till June 10, police said. Recently at a meeting in Hambantota, Upul said he has been waiting the return of the former president Mahinda Rajapaksa as Prime Minister so that he could witness the police officers of the FCID being stoned to death by the people.
