The State Department´s Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs (SCA) taking to its official Twitter handle has expressed deep concern with regard to the dissolution of Parliament in Sri Lanka.
The tweet said that the move to dissolve Parliament has further deepened the political crisis.
It also noted that democratic institutions should be respected to ensure stability and prosperity.
