The US government is willing to extend any support required by Sri Lanka in the aftermath of the Easter Sunday attacks,US Ambassador to Sri Lanka Alaina Teplitz said.
The US Ambassador made these remarks after calling on Opposition Leader Mahinda Rajapaksa today (May 09), the Opposition Leader's office said.
During the discussion, Ms. Teplitz had emphasised that the country's security could be strengthened by sharing intelligence information among friendly countries.
She had recalled that the US was able to strengthen its security after the September 11, 2001 (9/11) attacks, by sharing intelligence information among states close to the US.
Parliamentarians Keheliya Rambukwella, D.V. Chanaka and former Foreign Affairs Minister G.L. Peiris were present during the meeting.
