Minister Vasudeva Nanayakkara, has questioned Speaker Karu Jaysuriya's actions amidst a controversial political scenario in the country.
Minister Nanayakkra, in the letter had stated that he was shocked to witness the Speaker entertaining foreign envoys in his office.
He had also questioned the Speaker's decision to refrain from accepting Mahinda Rajapaksa as Prime Minister unless he proves his majority, by citing that it was he himself who had supported the appointment of Ranil Wickremesinghe as Prime Minister when he had only 48 seats in his favour back in 2015.
