Fifty three vehicles believed to be attached to the Presidential Secretariat have been discovered in Pita Kotte, local media reported. According to Police, a group of officers from the Mirihana Police carried a raid based on a tip-off received. The vehicles had been discovered parked in a plot of land belonging to the Multi-purpose Cooperative Society of Sri Jayawardenapura. A private security officer had been guarding the vehicles and upon questioning he had revealed to the police that the vehicles are attached to the Presidential Secretariat. The plot of land where the vehicles were parked is said to falls under the purview of the Welikada Police.
