The court of Appeal has ordered that the petition appealing the death sentence issued by the Colombo High Court against Gampola Vidanage Samantha Kumara alias 'Vele Sudha', will be heard on February 21.
The petition was called up today by Appeal Court Judge Deepali Wijesundera. However, owing to further examinations the case has been postponed till Feb 21
The Colombo High Court on October 14 passed the death sentence of the accused for the possession of seven grams of heroin in 2008.
