Veteran journalist Rex de Silva, the former editor of 'The Sun' and 'Weekend' newspapers passed away early this morning. De Silva was also the editor of the Borneo Bulletin daily paper from 1990 to 2001. He served as the foreign correspondent of the German Press Agency (DPA) from 1970 to 1990.
