An individual who had arrived at the Agunukolapelessa prison to visit an inmate was arrested with a mobile reload card yesterday (Jul 16).
The arrest had been carried out by Special Task Force (STF) officers at the main checkpoint of the prison, police said.
The reload card, worth Rs 50, had been concealed in his shirt, and had been recovered during the search.
STF personnel had then handed over the suspect to the police for further investigations.
