MP Wimal Weerawansa, addressing a press briefing today said that a 'vote-on' budget would be presented in Parliament on November 16.
The reason to do so was because the government is not in a position submit the budget proposal that was scheduled to be tabled before Parliament on November 05.
Accordingly, the 'vote-on budget' would be drafted for a period of three months.

Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa is due to vacate his official residence at Wijerama Mawatha, Colombo this morning, a Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) source said.
The Presidents’ Entitlements (Repeal) Bill was passed by a majority of 150 in parliament today. However the opposition MP’s were absent during the voting.
