Wanted suspect killed in police shooting
A suspect taken into custody for an attempted murder was shot and killed by police during an incident that occurred while he was being taken to Veyangoda for an operation, Police Headquarters stated.
One police officer was injured in the incident and the suspect was killed by police fire, police claimed.
The Attanagalla Magistrate visited the scene of the incident this afternoon and conducted the magisterial inquiry.
