Water cut in several areas until further notice
Water supply to several areas in the Gampaha District has been cut off until further notice, the National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB) said.
An NWSDB spokesman said water supply had been suspended after a pipeline to the Biyagama Water Treatment plant was damaged during road construction work by the Road Development Authority
The areas which would be affected are as follows ;
- Katunayake
- Seeduwa
- Ja - Ela Urban Council areas
- Welisara
- Kerawalapitiya
- Dikowita
- Matagoda
- Bopitiya
- Uswetakeiyawa
- Ragama
- Walpola
- Batuwatta
- Horape
- Prison Road
- Bulugahagoda
- Kurukulawa
- Polgahathenna
- Jayasrigama
- Boys' Town, Ragama
