A woman succumbed to death following an accident on the Southern Expressway that left her husband and two children injured today (Dec 26).
It is reported that the van in which the woman was travelling had rammed into a sign board following which the victims were admitted to the Nagoda hospital for treatment.
The daughter has been transferred to the Colombo General Hospital after she was found to be in a critical condition.
According to the police, the van had crashed onto the sign board since the son who was driving the vehicle had fallen asleep.
