An individual who had close ties with Mohamed Zahran, the mastermind behind the Easter Sunday terror attack was arrested in Nawalapitiya yesterday (Jul 25).
The suspect, a 22-year old, was taken into custody by officers attached to the Colombo Crimes Division.
Police believe that the suspect had attended sermons of Zahran and had also received weapon training with him in Hambantota.
