Jaffna High Court Judge M.Illancheliyan along with other judges pay their last respects to Sub Inspector Sarath Hemachandra who was killed while providing security to Mr Illancheliyan in Jaffna last Sunday.
The funeral took place on Wednesday in Chilaw.

Energy Ministry differs on proposed electricity tariff reduction from today.
The Anurdhapura Magistrate Court has granted permission to further investigate allegations of obstructing the duties of the Police, levelled against Member of Parliament Dr Archuna Ramanathan and report facts to courts on February 3.
The Energy Ministry has decided to go ahead with the PUCSL recommendation of reducing the electricity tariff by an average of 20 per cent, Energy Minister Kumara Jayakody said today.
