With the participation of InduSrilanka leading personalities, UMI Award Ceremony 2024 was held recently at the BMICH. UMI Awards were presented in recognition of persons in various achievements and skills of the younger and experienced generation. This event was organized under the initiative of Indian Director Dushyanth Pratap Singh.
Chief guests for the event were the Deputy Speaker of the Parliament Ajith Rajapksha and Mrs. Shiranthi Rajapaksha. Reputed and famous actor Ravindra Randeniya, Sri Lankan legendary cricket captain Arjuna Ranatunga, world famous Chef Pabilis Silva, reputed and famous singers such as Keerthi Pasquel, Malkanthi Nandasiri, Dayan Witharana, Priyanath Rathnayaka, Rohan Bogoda, Niranjala Sarojani and Victor Ratnayake, former cricket player Hasan Thilakaratna, popular actresses Rashiprabha Sandeepani, Sanoja Bibile, Anjela Senavirathna, Manel Vanagura, Nilanthi Dias, Nilushi Pavanya were amongst the stars felicitated.
Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa is due to vacate his official residence at Wijerama Mawatha, Colombo this morning, a Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) source said.
