The Sri Lanka Men's football preliminary squad, consisting of 34 members, left for Qatar to participate in a training camp prior to the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Cup 2023, which is to be held from June 8 to 14 in Uzbekistan.
The squad is accompanied by a coaching contingent of 16, including officials and trainers.
The squad will be pruned down to 23 prior to the AFC Cup 2023, according to Sri Lanka Football.
The final squad will leave for Uzbekistan on June 3 from Qatar to participate in the AFC Cup.
The preliminary squad includes T. Kajakopan, Asikur Rahuman, Charitha Rathnayake, Harsha Fernando, Chalana Chameera, Sujan Perera, Mohamed Fazal, Mohamed Aakib, Kaveesh Lakpriya, Prabath Arunasiri, Chamod Dilshan, Abdul Basith, Mohamed Fayas, Mariyathas Nitharshan, Mohamed Murshith, Chathuranga Madushan, Nuwan Gimhana, S Jesuthasan, T. Clintan, Mohamed Shabeer, Rasik Rishad, Dilip Pieris, Afeel Mohamed, Mohamed Shifan, Shenal Sandesh, Lasitha Fernando, Sasanga Dilhara, Mohamed Aman, Mohamed Hasmeer, Tharindu Dhanushka, Vincent Geethan, Moahmed Mustaq, Jude Supan and Dillon de Silva.
