Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) confirmed that Kusal Janith Perera and Binura Fernando will miss the upcoming white-ball series against India, which begins this Sunday (18).
"Kusal Janith Perera will not be able to take part in the ODI and the T20i series against India owing to an injury. The wicket-keeper batsman suffered a right shoulder sprain during training," a statement issued by SLC said.
This has occurred on Wednesday (14), and on Thursday (15) fast bowler Fernando sprained his left ankle during a practice session.
"It's a lateral ligament sprain. Fernando will be unavailable for the ODI series of the India Tour of Sri Lanka," SLC confirmed.
Replacements for Perera and Fernando are yet to be named by the cricket selection committee.
