Niroshan Dickwella's 62 and two catches and two wickets apiece by Suranga Lakmal, Dominic Brakes and Karim Janat laid the foundation for Colombo Kings to edge out Aura by nine-runs, in the last match at Hambantota on Thursday.
Batting first, skipper Angelo Mathews was out cheaply.
However, Dickwella's 62 and other late contributions proppeled them to a competitive target of 169, which Aura failed by a close margin.
Lahiru's Kumara's four-for was a thorn in their flesh and denied them from reaching the target.
Captain Dasun Shanaka was the second best with an unbeaten 31, but that was to no avail.
Chief scores:
Colombo stars: 165 for nine (20) (Niroshan Dickwella 62, Dinesh Chandimal 29 not out, Lahiru Kumara 4/36, Sikandar Raza 1/31) beat
Dambulla Aura: 156 for seven (20) (Tom Abell 33, Dasun Shanaka 31, Suranga 2/29, Karim Janat 2/30)
