Sajeev de Silva, who is currently the highest-ranked archer in Sri Lanka, has surpassed the required performance score to participate in the 2024 Olympics.
He was placed second out of more than 120 athletes in the recently held Kartini International Archery Championship held in Jakarta, Indonesia, in April 2024.
The silver medalist is currently training for the final match to directly qualify for the Olympics in 2024. The champion expressed the following:
"It's an incredible feeling to have achieved this milestone, and I'm looking forward to representing Sri Lanka on the global stage. I'm dedicated to giving my best performance and making my country proud."
