Sports Diary for this week - May 21-27

The Dialog Schools Rugby League Championship 2026 continues this weekend as well with a card of nine matches, with two cricket competitions to follow through the week.

On Sunday (24), Sri Lanka will host Hong Kong in the opening fixture of the Asia Rugby Emirates Men’s Championship with the kickoff set for 3:00pm at the Racecourse ground in Colombo.

The Commonwealth Chess Championship 2026 will continue at the Citrus Hotel in Waskaduwa until Monday (25) when the FIBA U-18 Asia Cup, SABA Qualifiers 2026 sets off at the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium in Colombo, until next Friday (29).

The ongoing New Zealand ‘A’ Women’s tour of Sri Lanka 2026 continues with the unofficial Twenty20 International series in Dambulla, while the SLC Major Club T20 Championship 2026 will commence with both Tier ‘A’ and Tier ‘B’ segments from this week.
