Sri Lankan Nimali Perera will be a part of the umpiring panel at the Thursday’s semi-final of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, in Newlands grounds, South Africa.
Perera will take charge of Australia against India semis, along with New Zealand’s Kim Cotton.
Suzanne Redfern will be the third umpire and Lauren Agenbag the fourth umpire. South Africa’s Shandre Fritz will be the match referee.
Only this month, Timesonline reported, Perera, 32, made history along with her fellow Lankan lady umpire Michelle Pereira, in becoming the first-ever two Lankan lady umpires to officiate at a major ICC tournament. [Find out more]
