Sri Lanka Telecom was in the lead on the second day of the 33rd Mercantile Athletic Championships at the Diyagama Sports Complex in Diyagama on Saturday (20).
Sunday (21) will be the final day of the competition.
Over 60 companies are taking part in the contest featuring nearly 1,500 athletes.
A feature of the meet is that all former national players in all sports are taking part in the meet.
Sri Lanka Telecom are the defending champions while MAS Holdings are placed second.
At present Air Port and Aviation are in third position but according to Sunday’s results the final placings could change.
By Saturday (20) 24 mercantile records were shattered with the first two days producing 12 records each.
An Indian mercantile team is also taking part in the meet.
