Sri Lanka named the squad first two One Day Internationals with the inclusion of schoolboy cricketer and Sri Lanka Under-19s opener Avishka Fernando and leg spinner Amila Aponso.
Fernando was named into the squad after his impressive performances, which includes two back-to-back centuries against England Under-19s last week.
Aponso had a reasonable run with the Sri Lanka Development side that toured to South Africa recently.
Veteran opener TM Dilshan too will make a comeback after withdrawing from the disastrous tour to England while Dilruwan Perera, Lakshan Sandakan, Seekkuge Prasanna, Dhananjaya de Silva, Milinda Siriwardana and Thisara Perera have been included into the 16-man squad.
Sri Lanka will play their first ODI against Australia at the R. Premadasa Stadium on Sunday (21).
