Zahira College Colombo won the All-Island Schools Division ‘C’Basketball Championship defeating Hejazz International School 73-53 in the final match played at St. Josephs' College Court. Both teams played a good game with scintillating moves which made the game open till the last few minutes. But it was Zahira who sealed the victory with a fine display of attack spearheaded by the captain, Rifkhan Nilafir, who was adjudged the Most valuable Player of the Tournament. Zahira qualified to the finals beating Thurstan College in the semi-final while Hejazz International beat Science College. The Third place place was secured by Thurstan College in the match played at same venue. Ashfan Lye of Zahira was adjudged the Best Defensive Player of the Tournament. The tournament was organised by Sri Lanka Schools Basketball Association.
