Half tons by Pavan Ratnayake and Pawantha Weerasinghe helped Mahanama Colombo to record a thrilling two run win on the D/L method over traditional rivals D. S. Senanayake College in their 12th Battle of the Gold’s limited over encounter played at R. Premadasa Stadium.
DSS taking first lease of the wicket helped by half tons from Pasindu Adithya and Muditha Lakshan made a modest score of 236 and Mahanama in their turn was cruising through to victory and was well placed on 213 for 5 in the 47th over when bad light stopped play which saw them coming out victorious and to record their fifth win of the series.
