Trinity College scored a smashing 149-run win over St. Anthony's College to retain the Richard Aluvihare Trophy for another year in their annual Limited Overs match played at Katugastota.
Man-of-the-match Hasitha Boyagoda set the tone for his team with a flawless knock of 109 off 111 balls that contained 12 fours and four sixes.
He was very fluent on both sides of the wicket and no bowler caused him much concern.
There were good knocks also from Hasintha Jayasuriya, Abishek Anandakumar and Thisaru Dilshan.
The latter’s unbeaten 47 had three fours and four sixes.
Off-spinner Kalhara Seneviratne picked up three wickets amidst the mayhem.
When he batted he fought it out and spent some time over his 31.
The star-in-the-making, Navodya Vijekumar sparkled with his contribution of 37 (4x4, 6x2).
Seamer Ruvin Peiris, off-spinners Boyagoda and Kavishka Senadheera all had two wickets.
