Panadura SC and Kalutara PCC, the two First Class club cricket teams involved in match-fixing, have been found guilty in one of three charges according to reports.
Both teams are now facing a suspension for a period of one year from cricket.
According to reports the inquiry report has been handed over to Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC), and sources say that both clubs will be fined and suspended.
However, it is unclear from when the suspension will be effective and the final decision is set to be taken by the SLC’s Executive Committee.
The debated match was a Premier Tier 'B' game between the two clubs at the Surrey Village grounds in Maggona last season.
In the match Panadura SC scored 243 runs in 23 overs on day three after resuming on 180 for 2 wickets in reply to Kalutara PCC’s 362 for the loss of 8 wickets.
Panadura SC reached 423, and Kalutara PCC scored 197 runs in 22 overs in the second innings, setting leaving Panadura SC a target of 165 in 15 overs, which was achieved with a run-rate of 12 per over.
