Sri Lanka off-spinner P.H.T. Kaushal, who was reported to the ICC over questions about his bowling action by the match officials during the third Test against India at the Sinhalese Sports Club Ground, will fly to India to undergo a test on his action at an ICC-accredited facility. The tests will be done at Sri Ramachandra University in Chennai, on September 13. Sri Lanka Head of Coaching Jerome Jayaratne will accompany the bowler. Kaushal, 22, has played six Tests and one ODI for Sri Lanka. He made his international debut in December 2014. Kaushal is considered as the frontrunner to be Sri Lanka's leading spinner once Rangana Herath retires. Kaushal took 13 wickets in the three Tests against India, averaging 38.15.
