An unbeaten knock of 107 runs off 99 deliveries from Lahiru Thirimanne helped Colombo record a thrilling 4-run win against Dambulla in the opening day's match of the SLC Super 4 Provincial Limited Overs Tournament at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.
The match was reduced to 40-overs per side due to a wet ground caused by overnight rain and national discard Thirimanne helped Colombo reach the winning target after hitting ten fours and a six.
Batting first Dambulla posted 270-6 with half centuries coming from Kusal Perera, Milinda Siriwardana and Ashan Priyanjan.
Colombo was given a revised target of 259 from 39 overs and they reached 262-6 to record a win.
