Two Sri Lankan paddlers, Erandi Warusawithana and Ishara Madurangi, lost their Women's Singles Table Tennis Group matches at the Commonwealth Games 2018 today (10).
Warusawithana lost her Group 3 match to Rheann Chung of Trinidad and Tobago, 0-4 while Madurangi (27) was overpowered by 16-year-old Denise Payet of England, who won the Group 7 match by 4-1.
Warusawithana was beaten in straight sets by Chung (33), who recorded 11-8, 11-3, 11-4 and 11-7 set wins while Payet beat Madurangi by 11-6, 14-12, 9-11, 11-8 and 11-6.
